Obituary nedokazali priniest hodnotne pokracovanie ich zjavne najlepsieho albumu Cause of Death. Nuda, sed a priemer. Je to obzvlast smutne kedze rok 1992 priniesol take fantasticke veci ako napriklad od Gorefest, Deicide, Cannibal Corse, Demigod, Therion, Sinister, Atrocity, Malevolent Creation, Baphomet, Torchure, Unleashed, Grave, Incantation, Edge of Sanity, Disharmonic Orchestra, Cemetary, Napalm Death, Fleshcrawl, Vader, Cadaver, Hypocrisy, At The Gates, Afflicted, Nocturnus, Fear Factory atd.

U toho Kinga Diamonda dokonce chybí i skladby No Presents For Christmas a The Lake (obě z Fatal Portrait). Tak to už je vážně síla.
Pokud vím, tak The Lake bylo zatím na všech verzích kromě původního LP (navíc je to moje nejoblíbenější skladba z této desky).

The CDs are in slip cases and there is no booklets, lyric sheets, or anything else. There are no bonus tracks either. To my surprise however, some of the CDs appear remastered considering how loud they are. All six CDs are inside a clam shell case which is thicker and more sturdy then other collection sets which adds more protection from damage.

As for this collection, it's five cds in slip cases inside a clam shell box. No booklets, lyrics, or anything else. The cds are remastered from the original however they do not contain any bonus tracks. This is simply five original cds that are louder. Unfortunately, slip cases do not protect the discs from scratches however the trade off is getting five discs for around $25.

Nejspíš se jedná o nekonzistenci RoadRunneru v tom jak ke kterým CD (a kapelám) této série přistupuje ...

Všichni víme jaké byznys praktiky RR má, tak bych čekal že půjde o remastery, které už několikrát vyšly jen bez bonusů, které doposud bývaly jejich součástí.

"On the subject of the music, it's King Diamond. What else is there to say? Included herein are Fatal Portrait (1986), Abigail (1987), "Them" (1988), Conspiracy (1989), and "The Eye" (1990). As near as I can tell, this is regarded as a "classic" era for the man and this phase of his backing band. For better or worse, there's nothing to indicate if this stuff has been remastered, when it was remastered, or if it's just re-pressings of the original CD issues. The only thing I CAN say with certainty is that the bonus materials from the reissues of "Them" and Conspiracy I used to have are completely absent. They were just rehearsal recordings, so I won't be carrying widows' weeds over it, but it is one definite difference between these and the last batch of issues.

It should be mentioned that, remastered or not, what I've listened to on these discs has sounded phenomenal in my car. I'm not picking up on any loudness wars "push it to the limit" remastering, so I suspect these are either original issues or some of the classiest remasterings I've heard in a while. Whichever it may be, you can't argue with "It sounds good!""

Mne v tychto vydaniach velmo chybaju booklety...

Pokud se jedná opravdu o ty remastery, tak moc nechápu tu absenci bonusů. To k tomu jako přistupovali stylem: "Dáš za to pár šupů, tak na nic extra nemáš nárok"?

Je to v klasických pošetkách bez bookletů a podle těch fotek to asi možná budou ty remastery, ale to jen odhaduji podle potisku na CD.Jinak mám k mání ty gold remastery v jewel box + čirý tray.

Zajímá mě, jestli se jedná o remastery (bonusy tam ale nejsou, booklet prý to nemá taky žádný) a hlavně v jakých krabičkách jsou umístěny jednotlivé disky. Předem díky.

Samozřejmě, že to nejde. Nemyslel jsem překonat klasiky, ale udělat nahrávky důstojné jména Obituary a to ty comebacovky nejsou. Je to mrtvé, pekelně nudné a zvukově podprůměrné.
