Metalopolis již 20 let pravidelně přináší informace a články převážně související s metalovou hudbou. Často však zavítáme i do jiných než metalových anebo vůbec hudebních oblastí a nezřídka tak nabízíme i obsah mimo hlavní záběr našeho webového magazínu.

Další deska Maynard James Keenanova (TOOL) projektu/skupiny logicky pokračuje v alternativně elektronickém rockovém duchu a opět tedy musí zákonitě vzbuzovat kontroverze. Možná lehce přímočařejší přístup by si ale své posluchače měl najít.
Čistě akustický singl AMON AMARTH naznačuje nové tendence v tvorbě švédských velikánů a já jsem z něj potěšen minimálně stejně jako z posledních dvou zvučných alb kapely, neboť, jak zjevno, Quorthonův jedinečný odkaz je věčný a věčně inspirující.
Kanadská odpověď na EVERGREY s ženským vokálem. Na své švédské vzory sice ještě nemají, především zpěvačka by měla zapracovat na emocích ve svém projevu, ale při současném letním albovém suchu to je nakonec celkem fajn materiál.
Sbírka hudební poezie na téma existenciální úzkosti. Vypjatá katarze zabalená do kombinace screama a post-rocku. Nic nového pod sluncem, ale emoce z posluchače ždíme s naprostou jistotou.
O téhle moravské formaci jsem neměl ani potuchy, přesto jejich produkce působí velmi dospěle, hlavně po produkční stránce. Jejich pojetí modern metalu/deathcoru je sice generické až na půdu, ale úroveň i řemeslné zpracování mě docela překvapily.
Obrovské překvapení z Vietnamu. Chaotický metalický hardcore, ve kterém jsou semlety ty nejlepší atributy extrémní hudby. Současně se tu vynořují i zajímavé melodické postupy, určitá dějovost i vypjatá screamo-rozervanost.
ORDOS víceméně pokračují v kurzu poslední desky - opět nádherná apokalyptická atmosféra, která nás provází celou písní. Lehká změna je větší zastoupení melancholie na úkor agresivity, ale to vůbec ničemu nevadí.
